The Dragon'e Enchantment page 14

resided. As time past, Luca watched with awe as the King created all these things. Finally, he had the courage to ask about it.

“Your Lordship,” Luca said, “I find your power to create so fascinating. Could I not also receive that power?”

“I cannot give you this gift, but I will give you a small taste of it.” King Omni put out his hands and opened them upward.  “Ruby Amulet Necklace!” King Omni commanded.

The words were no sooner spoken when a red ruby amulet necklace appeared in his open hands. The necklace was of rich gold chain and the ruby amulet had a golden cross in its center. King Omni placed it in the dragon’s claws.

“This amulet can be pointed at an item, and you can change it into something else.”

“So if I point it at a rock, I can make it into a flower?” The dragon tilted his head slightly.

“Thank you. I will obey,” mumbled Luca. He barely heard what the King had said because he was already thinking of all the things he wanted to do with his amulet.

Taking the necklace from Luca’s claw the King placed it around the dragon’s neck.  Luca looked down and pulled it up to have a closer look.

“It looks just like one of my eyes!” Luca said, smiling like a small child.

“I thought you would appreciate that.” Putting his hand over the dragon’s claw, the King reiterated seriously, “Enjoy your gift. But remember use it wisely for the good of the Kingdom.”

From that time on Luca traveled only occasionally with the King. He wanted to stay around the castle and try out his present. He delighted all the servants he met with the magic he performed with the dragon stone. He made tools from rocks for the stable servants. He made utensils and pots from trees and flowers for the kitchen staff. Best of all, he turned horse apples to golden bricks and building materials to build stores in the Kingdom. All the staff was very
