PART 2
Chapter
5: Adam & Eva
On the tenth year anniversary of the dragon’s disappearance, the king
created his usual twelve children.
Two of whom were named Prince Adam and
Princess Eva.
Prince Adam had blue eyes, a cherub face and
blond curly ringlets of hair that made him look sweet.
Princess
Eva had the same blue eyes but she had dark curly hair.
Prince Adam was assigned a guide named Edith
and Princess Eva’s guide name was Charity.
By
the end of his first year in the Kingdom, Edith knew she had her hands full
caring for Prince Adam. He already had the reputation of being an adventurous
sort of boy. At his young age, he was restless to go out and see the lands of
Golden World, like his father King Omni. Princess
Eva was his best friend. Charity found
her ward to be almost as adventurous as Prince Adam. Edith and Charity worked
hard to teach the royals about Golden World history, math, and etiquette. They
taught them separately because they found the two would get into all kinds of
mischief and would not learn anything if they were in the same room. Princes
Adam would cross his eyes and make Princess Eva laugh or throw wads of paper at
Edith which also made Princess Eva snicker. So no matter how much they begged
after the first two weeks of lessons, the royals were taught separately.
After one of the
many royal homecoming celebrations of the King, Princess Eva and Prince Adam
were gossiping and laughing down the hall, heading for their class rooms when
their guides caught up with them. They were dressed like maids instead of wearing
guide clothing.
“It is our turn
to help with the celebration clean up.
Each celebration several guides are called on to lead in the clean up,”
said Charity.
“Today is
Charity and my turn,” said Edith, “So you two will have to go to Celestial’s
class today.”
Princess Adam and Princess Eva rolled their
eyes at each other. “Do we gotta?”
Prince Adam asked, “She is the most boring guide we have!”
“Prince Adam
don’t be rude. It is our turn we must
go.” said Edith.
“Go along
royals, we will find you after class and we will do something special,” said
Charity.
“Like what?”
asked Princess Eva.
“We could bake cookies,” answered Charity.
